Affiliate Partner Agreement
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This agreement is between Tang Math LLC ("Tang Math", "we", "us") and you, the affiliate partner ("you"). By applying to or taking part in the Tang Math affiliate program, you agree to it. Our program is run through FirstPromoter, which tracks referrals and pays commissions on our behalf.
1. Joining the program
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
- We review every application and may approve or decline it at our discretion.
- You agree to give accurate information, keep it up to date, and provide the tax forms we or FirstPromoter ask for (a W-9, or a W-8 if you are outside the United States) before you can be paid.
2. Campaigns: your commission and your audience's discount
Each campaign has a combined pool of 30% of the plan price, split between a discount for the customers you refer and a commission for you. Your dashboard shows the split for each campaign you can choose. For example, a campaign might give your audience 10% off and pay you 20% of what they pay.
Families memberships
You earn your campaign's commission on the payments a referred family makes during the first 12 months of their membership. Commission is calculated on the amount the customer actually pays, after any discount and excluding sales tax.
Classroom memberships
Commission is calculated on the base classroom price of $299.99, not on additional students or sales tax, for the first 12 months of the membership (one annual payment). For example, a campaign that pays the full 30% earns about $90 per Classroom membership, however many students it includes.
What doesn't earn commission
- School and district purchases made through a quote or purchase order.
- Payments after the first 12 months of a referred membership.
- Purchases by you, your household, or accounts you control (self-referrals).
- Customers who already had a paid Tang Math membership when you referred them.
- Purchases that are refunded, charged back or cancelled as fraudulent. If a commission on such a purchase was already paid, we deduct it from your future payouts.
- Purchases tracked to you in breach of this agreement.
3. How referrals are credited
- A referral is credited to you when a new customer buys through your referral link, or enters your affiliate code at checkout.
- Referral links are tracked with a browser cookie for the period shown in your dashboard. If the customer clears cookies, uses another device, or blocks tracking, the referral may not be recorded.
- If a customer uses an affiliate code, the code decides who is credited. Otherwise, the most recent referral link they used is credited.
- Our tracking records are final in deciding which affiliate, if any, is credited for a purchase.
4. Payouts
- Commissions are paid monthly, 45 days after the end of the month in which they were earned. For example, commissions earned in November are paid in mid-January.
- This holding period covers our 30-day money-back guarantee, so commissions are paid only on purchases that weren't refunded.
- You are paid once your approved balance is at least $50. A smaller balance carries over to the next month.
- Payouts are made through FirstPromoter to the payout method you set up there. You are responsible for any fees your payout provider charges.
- You are responsible for the taxes on your commissions. We may issue a Form 1099 where the law requires it.
5. How you may promote Tang Math
You must
- Clearly disclose that you earn a commission whenever you recommend Tang Math, as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement rules require — for example, "I earn a commission if you buy through my link."
- Describe Tang Math honestly, using current prices and features. Don't promise results, such as specific test scores or grade improvements.
- Follow all laws that apply to your promotion, including anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM.
You must not
- Direct your promotion at children. Tang Math is used by children, but it is bought by parents, teachers and schools; promote it to adults only, and not in content made for children.
- Bid on "Tang Math", "Greg Tang", or misspellings or variations of them in paid search or social ads, or use them in domain names, social media handles or ad display URLs.
- Post codes on coupon, deal or cashback sites, unless we approve it in writing.
- Send unsolicited email or messages, or promote Tang Math alongside content that is unlawful, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a children's education brand.
- Present yourself as Tang Math, or suggest that you speak for us or that we endorse you.
- Use cookie stuffing, hidden frames, automatic redirects, incentives for clicking, or any other way of creating referrals that customers didn't knowingly make.
- Buy through your own link or code, or have others do it for you.
- Ask teachers to buy Classroom memberships with school funds in a way that bypasses their school's purchasing rules.
6. Using our name and materials
While you are in the program, you may use the Tang Math name, logos and materials we provide, only to promote Tang Math under this agreement and without altering them. Your permission ends when you leave the program, and you must then remove them where you reasonably can.
7. Customer and student privacy
You won't receive personal information about the customers you refer, beyond what your FirstPromoter dashboard shows. Never ask referred customers for information about their children or students.
8. Changes to the program
We may change commission rates, campaigns, discounts or this agreement. We will tell you by email or in your dashboard before a change takes effect. Changes don't affect commissions already earned. If you keep taking part after a change, you accept it.
9. Ending your participation
- You or we may end your participation at any time, for any reason, with notice.
- If it ends without a breach of this agreement, we pay your valid commissions earned up to that date on the normal schedule, once your balance reaches the $50 minimum.
- If we end it because you breached this agreement, you lose any unpaid commissions connected with the breach, and we may recover commissions already paid on those sales.
10. Our relationship
You are an independent contractor. Nothing in this agreement makes you our employee, agent or partner, and you can't make commitments on our behalf.
11. Liability
The program is provided as is. We aren't liable for lost commissions caused by tracking failures, outages or customer browser settings beyond our control. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the commissions you earned in the 12 months before a claim. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your promotion of Tang Math in breach of this agreement or the law.
12. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules.
